Beefalo
The other side of our cattle service coin is our beefalo. For most, the concept of a beefalo may sound weird, but it’s actually pretty simple. A beefalo is a mixture of three-eighths American bison, and five-eighths American bovine. The combination alone is intriguing, but what’s the importance?
It’s honestly night-and-day! Beefalo is a delicious form of red meat that is actually healthier than standard beef. And we truly believe it’s more delicious than standard beef. It’s more tender than conventional beef, and it actually is considerably more healthy!
For starters, beefalo has much lower levels of cholesterol than beef, less calories than beef, and lower levels of saturated fats than beef. It’s extremely high on protein, and it’s also chock-full of minerals like phosphorus, calcium, vitamin A, and even potassium.
We’re dedicated to happy cows and incredible meat. Funny enough, the two are related — when the cows live happy, stress-free lives they taste that much better! We use humane slaughtering methods, and have great respect for these incredible animals.
